Haircut First & Hockey Love

Well, we had a haircut first! Jared, who is now over 4 1/2 years old, has always hated getting his haircut (and has REALLY needed one for a while now). We went yesterday (after he went and didn't get it cut in October) as I told him we would be going all week, and a miracle happened. Usually, he sits in my lap, and they cut his hair (and he cries). Yesterday, he got up in the seat, onto the booster seat, sat by himself, and didn't cry!!! It was great (guess the bribe worked).

We went to the hockey game later, and I realized that I think my kids go for the popcorn!! I guess that's true of any child. I remember going to the KC Royals baseball games with my family and all I wanted to do was get peanuts and Coke and whatever else there was to eat there! Must be the same thing for my kids, but it's popcorn and Gladiators (and Jared looking for "big" Maximus (the mascot) and "little" Maximus - yes, he thinks there's 2 of them, but there's really only 1. He just doesn't understand that he's little when he's far away and big when he's right next to us!!!)

On another shopping note, I got a GREAT coupon code for this website from bfads (Black Friday ads). If you go to http://www.deepdiscount.com/, and enter the code DDAF at checkout, you can get 20% off ANY DVD's!!! Plus, they have free shipping. You can get a Disney movie for $13 and change (my mom bought Meet the Robinsons and Ratatouille for the kids). It includes multi-disc sets, tv sets, and ANY other DVD's!!!! It's good through 11/25. I'll be shopping there next week sometime for Christmas gifts...
