Chandler was home from school yesterday...We went to the doctor. He had a finger prick (and for the first time, didn't cry about it) to see if he had a bacterial infection, but his white blood cell count was good. He had a nose swab (which he didn't like - he said she touched his brain!) to see if it was flu, but it was negative. And THEN, we went to the lab to have blood drawn from his arm - to test for MONO!!! If it's not mono, it was just a viral infection. Here's why we had all this done - here's how he was most of the weekend:
He slept from 3:00 on Thursday night, did the same thing Friday after school, Saturday after soccer, and Sunday after church. He was fine in the morning each day, but by afternoon, it was time for "bed", and if you know him, he does NOT nap!!! He couldn't even stay awake during the Pro Bowl Sunday!! He's feeling better today, and was "cleared" for school...still don't have blood test results, though.
